Registration for the 2024 season is now CLOSED.
Registration with the Campbell River Comets is a 2-step process as of Jan 1st, 2024.
You MUST complete both steps of the registration process below in order for your membership to be valid.

Step 1: Register with the Comets Track Club.

Registration for the club is done through Trackie.com Please have your credit card ready.
At this time we are not setup with the bank to accept E-transfers yet.

Please note that your registration with the club this year does NOT include any meet fees as in the past.
Registration for meets is paid for separately for any meet you choose to attend.
Step 2: Register with Athletics Canada / BC Athletics.
Click on the link below to register with Athletics Canada / BC Athletics.
This will allow you to compete in track meets offered throughout the province
and provides you with BC Sport Insurance and other benefits.
Please have your credit card ready.

** If you are a Returning member, you will already have an existing membership number on file with BC Athletics,
and you will be renewing your membership for this season.
Do not create a new account through AthleticsReg if you have an existing account with BC Athletics.
** If you are registering as a NEW member, and do not have an existing account be sure to click "Create Account",
then follow the instructions. You will be asked to enter an email address and a password.
You will be issued a membership number at the conclusion of the process.

The following is a brief outline of the 2024 registration fees associated with the Campbell River Comets in order to compete in track meets:
a) The Campbell River Comets Track and Field Club is a registered club with B.C. Athletics.
An athlete’s membership with BC Athletics makes them eligible for B.C. Athletics’ awards and allows them to participate in all sanctioned meets and B.C. Athletics’ Championship events.
Club fees includes:
• maintenance / replacement of equipment (shot put, javelin, discus, hurdles, etc.
• year end awards, and other operational expenses.
• any / all facility rental fees.
Club fees do NOT include:
• meet fees.
• high school and non-sanctioned meets.
• travel expenses / accommodation expenses to any meets.
• personal equipment (spikes, apparel, etc.)
Competition Pinnie: Each athlete must wear a competition pinnie at all competitions. Pinnies can be borrowed for the season (refundable deposit required)
b) Athletics Canada / BC Athletics fees are mandatory and non-refundable.
• valid from January 1st to December 31st each year.
• you must have an Athletics Canada membership in order to compete at any sanctioned meet.
• allows you to compete in any Provincial and Regional Championship meets
• eligible for awards, rankings, and provincial team selection associated with the sport.
Additional financial assistance options:
In the event that any child or family is in need of some financial assistance in order to meet the registration costs, you may be able to apply for funding from Kidsport Canada or Canadian Tire Jumpstart. In the event that the child withdraws from the club, the grants are returned to Kidsport or Jumpstart, not to the athlete.

The 2024 registration fee structure has changed.
Note: An athlete's age is calculated as of Dec. 31st, 2024 in the year of membership.
The V.I.A.A. is looking forward to another full track and field competitive season this year.
The fee structure below is based on a normal competitive season for the Comets Track Club athletes.

Reminder: The Athletics Canada / BC Athletics membership portion of the membership fee is NON-refundable.
The registration process has changed and will be updated very soon.
Any requests for a Comets Club registration refund will be considered on an individual basis moving forward.
FEES: (Jan. 2024 - December 2024)
1) Junior Development (ages U-10 to U-14 years) or 9 to 13 year olds.
Cost $200.00 CDN (C.R. Comets Membership $115 plus $85 Athletics Canada / BC Athletics Membership)
2) Under 16 (U-16, age 14)
Cost $240.00 CDN (C.R. Comets Membership $115 plus $125 Athletics Canada / BC Athletics Membership)
3) Under 18 Athletes (ages 16 and 17)
Cost $240.00 CDN (C.R. Comets Membership $115 plus $125 Athletics Canada / BC Athletics Membership)
4) Under 20 Athletes, and Senior (ages 18 and 19) and ages 20+
Cost $240.00 CDN (C.R. Comets Membership $115 plus $125 Athletics Canada / BC Athletics Membership)
5) Under 23 (age 18 - 22) Junior/Senior POST SECONDARY ATHLETES (18-22 years old, and must have proof or registration at a Post-secondary institution)
Cost $200.00 CDN (C.R. Comets Membership $115 plus $85 Athletics Canada / BC Athletics Membership)
6) Masters Athletes (35 years +)
Cost $200.00 CDN (C.R. Comets Membership $115 plus $85 Athletics Canada / BC Athletics Membership)
7) Parent non-competitive (training)
Cost $155.00 CDN (C.R. Comets Membership $115 plus $40 Athletics Canada / BC Athletics Membership)
* Additional family member(s) discount : $40.00 CDN discount which applies to each additional family member.
(A reimbursement cheque will be issued for qualifying families after registration is complete).
